SPINACH PUFF PASTRY

Flaky Delight: Elevate Your Appetizer Game with Irresistible Spinach Puff Pastry Bites!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of mushrooms
  • 1 tbsp KNORR Chicken Bouillon
  • 1 bag of fresh spinach
  • 1 tsp. Dijon mustard 
  • ½ onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts 
  • ½ cup of sliced almonds
  • 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 sheet of Puff Pastry Dough
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation:

Finely chop the onion, garlic and mushrooms.

In a hot pan add olive oil and once hot add the onion and garlic to soften. Add the mushrooms and cook for 5 minutes and add the spinach. Add 1 tbsp of KNORR Chicken Bouillon. Taste to verify season, add I teaspoon of salt. At the end add 1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard.

 

Remove from heat and let cool. If it has a lot of liquid, remove excess.

Once cooled, add the walnuts and almonds and mix.

 

Spread the puff pastry cutting the ends to form a rectangle.

Place the mixture in the center and close by pressing the corners. Seal the ends and brush with beaten egg.

Turn the puff pastry over so that the sealed part is underneath and brush with egg.

 

Bake for 25 minutes at 375 degrees
