
Flavor-Packed Chicken Milanesa Torta Made Easy
Ingredients:
- 4 Telera / Bolillo rolls
- Chicken Milanesas (thinly pounded chicken cutlets)
For the Breading:
- Breadcrumbs
- Panko
- Parsley
- Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs
- Refried beans
- Crema Mexicana
- Oaxaca cheese
- Tomato
- Avocado
- La Morena Pickled Jalapeño Slices (Rajas de Chile La Morena)
- Pepsi (for serving)
Preparation:
Prepare the breading: In a shallow dish, mix equal parts breadcrumbs and panko. Season generously with Parmesan cheese, parsley, salt, and pepper.
Pat the chicken milanesas dry. Dredge each milanesa in all-purpose flour, then dip in beaten eggs.
Coat the milanesas thoroughly with the breadcrumb and panko mixture. Set aside.
In a skillet, add enough oil to shallow fry and heat it over medium-high heat.
Fry the milanesas one by one until golden brown and cooked through.
Remove from oil, drain on paper towels, and cut into strips.
Cut the bread rolls in half. Spread refried beans on one half and Crema Mexicana on the other.
Assemble each torta with the fried chicken milanesa strips, Oaxaca cheese, tomato, avocado, and La Morena Pickled Jalapeño Slices.
