LEMON CARLOTA

Luscious Lemon Carlota: A Zesty Twist on a Classic Dessert Delight!

Ingredients:

  • 5 green lemons
  • 1 lemon (for garnish)
  • 1 can condensed milk
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 3 packages of Gamesa Marías Cookies
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla

Preparation:

  1. Squeeze 5 lemons and reserve the juice.
  2. In a bowl, add the evaporated milk and condensed milk.
  3. Beat with an electric mixer and gradually add the lemon juice. Blend until doubled in size and slightly thickened.
  4. Mix the whole milk with a teaspoon of vanilla. Reserve
  5. In a square baking dish, place a little of the milk mixture with the lemon juice.
  6. You will build up layers of cookies and milk mixture.
  7. Soak the cookies in the milk and vanilla mixture. One by one before placing them in the baking dish (this will give them more flavor).
  8. Cover the baking dish with plastic wrap.
  9. Refrigerate for approx. 3 hours
  10. Garnish with lemon zest and crushed cookies.
