HONDURAN SOUP

One of the tastiest soups you will ever try!

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds of beef ribs
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 5 peeled and crushed garlic cloves
  • 2 Green Plantains (Macho)
  • 3 yellow corn cobs
  • 1 large yucca
  • 1 large carrot
  • 2 zucchinis
  • 1 Chayote (Pataste)
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 1 bunch of cilantro
  • 2 tablespoons of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of pepper

Preparation:

In a pot with enough water cook the beef ribs cut in pieces.

When water starts boiling add the meat together with the onion cut in half and the crushed garlic cloves

Let it cook for 50 minutes.

Once the meat is tender add salt and pepper, cilantro, green bell pepper in chunks and cook for 10 minutes.

In the meantime, peel and cut the yucca, plantain, carrots, corn, zucchini, and chayote in small pieces. Add them to the meat and cook for 15 minutes more and serve!
