
Tinga Tostadas Takeover: Your New Weeknight Obsession.
Ingredients:
- 8 tostadas (fried or baked)
- 1 lb, cooked, shredded chicken breast
- Lettuce (washed and thinly sliced)
- Mexican sour cream
- Fresh cheese (crumbled)
- Sliced avocado
- 4 Roma tomatoes (halved)
- 2 chipotle peppers
- 1 Natura’s® Tomato Sauce
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tsp oregano
- Refried Black Beans
Preparation:
- Heat the refried beans, and set them aside once they are warm.
- In a skillet, heat the oil and add the halved tomatoes. Once they are halfway cooked, add two chipotle peppers and the tomato sauce.
- Let the mixture cook for 3 minutes. Once ready, blend the entire mixture and season with salt, pepper, onion, and garlic powder, and oregano.
- Return the blended sauce to the skillet and let it cook for another 4 minutes.
- Add the shredded chicken and let it simmer for 5 more minutes.
- It’s time to assemble the tostadas: spread warm beans, chicken, and garnish with lettuce, sour cream, cheese, and avocado. Now, enjoy!
